Two days after a tornado swept across the state of Oklahoma, the weather forecast predicted a return of the cyclone this weekend.
Tropical Storm Frank, which had weakened from its epicenter of Oklahoma City, was expected to return Friday, according to the National Weather Service in Oklahoma City.
The storm is expected to reach the area of Oklahoma and Kansas before moving northwestward over southern Louisiana and westward through Kansas.
The forecast calls for thunderstorms and heavy rain in the region, with the potential for tornadoes in the greater Kansas City area.
A tornado watch is in effect for the Kansas City-Fort Worth area.
A severe thunderstorm watch is also in effect until 5 p.m.
