WATCH: Trump’s top aides’ ‘nudity’ scandal threatens to undermine Trump’s coronation
WATCH: Trumps top aides are being investigated for their ‘nude’ selfies.
Now it looks like they may have done something wrong.
Sources say a former top aide for President Donald Trump’s transition team has been accused of stealing and selling personal photos of his wife, Melania, and their children, Barron and Joseph.
The New York Post reports that Michael T. Flynn, the former Trump campaign chief, was in possession of photos of Melania and Barron.
The photos were later found by an FBI agent, according to the newspaper.
Tensions between Flynn and the White House have escalated over the last week as the investigation into the scandal continues, as the president’s eldest son and daughter-in-law both resigned from his administration.
The Post says the photos are being analyzed for their metadata, meaning they could have been taken by the couple.
A Trump transition official denied the allegations in a statement to The Associated Press, saying Flynn and his family have always been transparent about their personal lives.
“Mr. Flynn has always been very open about his personal life and his relationship with his family, which is something that is important to the American people,” the official said.
“It is not true that Mr. Flynn sold his photos.”
The AP has reached out to the Flynn’s for comment.
The White House did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the investigation.
Flynn’s resignation comes as Trump has been embroiled in an ongoing feud with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, who he has accused of trying to undermine his agenda and take his seat in the Senate.
Trump has repeatedly blamed McConnell and his allies for the scandal, which led to Flynn’s resignation.
The president’s son, Donald Trump Jr., is currently on the job at the White National Headquarters in Washington.
